Sidra this week BO (Shemos Exodus 12,13):
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
יג וְהָיָה הַדָּם לָכֶם לְאֹת, עַל הַבָּתִּים אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם שָׁם, וְרָאִיתִי אֶת-הַדָּם, וּפָסַחְתִּי עֲלֵכֶם; וְלֹא-יִהְיֶה בָכֶם נֶגֶף לְמַשְׁחִית, בְּהַכֹּתִי בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם.
Baal Haturim writes that the gematria (numerical value of the letters of לָכֶם LOCHEM is equal to that of HAMILAH circumcision. For on that night the Jews were circumcised. The Talmud (Yevamos 72a) discussed the permissibility of performing circumcision milah at night. There are different ways to understand and explain.
Also the word לְאֹת a sign is spelled without a VOV and so the gematria numerical value is 431 . This intimates that the number of years from Isaac’s circumcision until the circumcision in Egypt was 431 years.
