keep My covenant (Bris), then ye shall be Mine own treasure from among all peoples; (Exodus 19,5)

Rabbi Akiva says that keep My covenant refers to Bris Milah.
The importance of Bris Milah prior to revealing the Torah to the Jewish people at Mount Sinai in order to ensure the torah knowledge would be engraved in their hearts and their minds forever.
Baal Haturim points out that the last letters of the words וִהְיִיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה מִכָּל spell Milah מִילָה
The Rambam explains that the Jewish people entered the coveneant by means of three acts: Bris Milah (tevilah and korban).
